Samhita Kamisetty is a visual artist based in Brooklyn, New York, with roots in Portland, Oregon, and Bangalore, India.
Her multidisciplinary practice spans illustration, ceramics, natural dyeing, and design. Grounded in observation and documentation, her work draws from everyday objects, inherited textiles, and family archives to explore memory, material, and cultural continuity through accessible and regenerative materials. Her work has been exhibited in New York, New Delhi, Berlin, Rotterdam, Los Angeles, Miami, and Mexico City.
As an extension of her practice, Samhita produces and teaches natural dye workshops centered on bundle dyeing, using botanicals to create unique textile pieces. She has led workshops in collaboration with brands, home goods boutiques, and peer-led community spaces in New York and Bangalore.
She holds a BFA in Studio Art and Communications from New York University.
